I had some tickets to a comedy club at a local theatre venue in town and being the absolute idiot I am I turned up to it on the wrong date! I had misread the ticket and it is on Thursday this week but I got there on Tuesday. My girlfriend was not impressed with this and we were so embarrassed when we got there are tried to get entry into the venue. However, there was an instrumental music concert on instead and the lady on the desk said that because of the mix up that she would give us free entry to this so that we had not wasted a journey and so that my girlfriend had not got all made up for nothing. This was very kind of her and we really enjoyed the concert and came away from that with some great CDs of the artists who performed. We also managed to get back to the venue on the Thursday for the comedy club which was also really good so all in all it was a worthwhile error.

How Long Are Sci Fi Movies
I do like SyFy movies. But I feel gypped if they are too short. I really do. Sometimes these movies are under 90 minutes. Well, that is just not long enough to feel like I have entered the world. I like to feel like I’m inside the film and if it is too short I just don’t feel satisfied. Okay, there are a few exceptions. But for the most part I like my Sci Fi movies to be over a 100 minutes. I know, it is only 10 minutes I’m talking about, but hey, that 10 minutes is important to my head. For some reason, just 10 minutes longer allows me to feel more “in” to the movie. And for me that is what it is all about. To feel “in.” Otherwise it is just like a trailer and a tease. And I hate to be teased. I want a full story and that 10 minutes forces the filmmaker to add just enough more to make it more satisfying.
